A Message from the President
H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr.
President of The Republic of Liberia
The inaugural Liberian Diaspora Annual Conference was a historic gathering of Liberians from across the globe, united in purpose to reimagine and rebuild our homeland. Hosted in partnership with the Government of Liberia, that landmark event brought together policymakers, community leaders, investors, scholars, and citizens from every corner of the diaspora to confront the most pressing challenges and seize the greatest opportunities before our nation.
In 2026, we move from dialogue to delivery. Under the theme “Diaspora Capital, Innovation, and the Future of Liberia,” this year’s conference turns shared commitment into measurable action, mobilizing diaspora capital and enterprise, advancing innovation and technology, and driving sustainable development across the sectors that will define Liberia’s future, while honoring our continued work of reconciliation and national healing.
The connections made and the commitments shared continue to inspire lasting impact. This is only the beginning—together, we are shaping a brighter future for Liberia: one voice, one purpose, one people.

MESSAGE FROM THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN
Liberia Diaspora Annual Conference Planning Committee
Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Fellow Liberians at Home and Abroad,
On behalf of the Liberia Diaspora Annual Conference Planning Committee, I am honored to announce the 2026 Liberia Diaspora Annual Conference, convening September 24–26, 2026, in the D.C. Metro area.
Last year, what began as a vision became a historic gathering that united Liberians from across the globe with our brothers and sisters at home. That inaugural conference was more than an event — it was a movement to bridge the gap between the homeland and the Diaspora, to foster meaningful dialogue, and to inspire collective action for the progress of Liberia.
This year, we move from dialogue to delivery. Under the theme “From Dialogue to Delivery: Diaspora Capital, Innovation, and the Future Liberia”, we turn shared commitment into measurable action — mobilizing diaspora capital and enterprise, advancing innovation and technology, and driving sustainable development across the sectors that will define our nation’s future, while continuing our vital work of reconciliation and national healing.
The 2025 conference set a powerful standard, welcoming approximately 700 in-person delegates and over 1,300 virtual participants. We were especially honored to have H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia, serve as Chief Convener and deliver the Opening Keynote Address — a testament to the government’s commitment to inclusive national development and diaspora engagement.
As we look to September, let us carry forward the spirit of unity, collaboration, and hope. Together, we will continue to shape a brighter future for Liberia — one voice, one purpose, one people.
